Design
The obverse features the classic Coronet Liberty head facing left, wearing a tiara inscribed LIBERTY, surrounded by thirteen stars and the date 1906. The reverse displays a heraldic eagle with a shield on its breast, clutching arrows and an olive branch, with the inscriptions UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and 2½ D.
